Future plans

After doubling its Net Fee Income in 2015, NonStop Recruitment has a clear plan continue its growth trajectory. This means many opportunities for everyone – join as a trainee recruiter, for example, and you could quickly progress to team leader then manager then director. The sky is the limit. An expanding business needs more people at all levels to support the growth, so there is a clear career path for anyone who joins whether that be as a recruiter or on the operational side. But we are not just looking to headcount, we are looking to expand into new geographies and markets, which is entirely down to our people. Especially those hired for recruitment consultants roles learn all the tools they need to be great at their jobs, including how to lead, manage, coach, develop and inspire other colleagues. This model allows the company to quickly grow layers – from junior colleagues to management and director-level, meaning success for the business as well as our people. And on the sales side of the business, the skills and practices we teach our people allows them to help their clients – both employers and job seekers – Develop, Grow, Succeed too.

International environment

NonStop has offices in Switzerland, the UK and the Czech Republic, and we work with clients throughout Europe. Not only does this give us a truly international environment, we have colleagues from all over the world and speaking a multitude of languages. While English remains our language of business, our Prague office, for example, is home to colleagues of 26 different nationalities.

Training and development

NonStop has an award-winning, industry-commended, Prague-based training programme specifically designed to develop excellent recruitment consultants. With four dedicated in-house trainers, NonStop takes on 10 to 20 people a month and gives them all the training and support they need to succeed. But that is not the only training and development we offer. NonStop prides itself on training and developing people in any area of the business, helping them upskill and succeed in their chosen fields.


Because we place such an emphasis on training and developing our people, we usually promote from within. On the sales side, for example, all but one of our people went through our training programme and progressed to varying levels of leadership, purely based on merit. As we expand the operational side of the business to support the growth of the sales side, many such leadership opportunities will be created there too.

How to Become a Recruiter With NonStop

What is recruitment?

Talent is at the forefront of every business’ needs and all want the very best people possible, though don’t always have the time or know-how to find these people. That’s where we come in. We connect people looking for new opportunities with employers who have open positions. You may also come across the word headhunt, which is a form of recruitment but essentially entails finding people who are not actively looking for a new role, and presenting them with an opportunity offered by one of our clients. It could also mean you tracking down people with a particular skill set and making contact.

It’s important to note that a jobseeker should never pay for these services; it is the client, or the employer, that pays. If you are working on a contingency basis, then your client will pay a previously agreed percentage of the salary on offer when you successfully fill their open roles. If you work on a retainer, your client will pay an agreed fee upfront for a set piece of work.

And within all that, the people you find new opportunities for could work on either a permanent or contract basis. Contract recruitment is where we place people in a role for a defined period of time. They are usually paid on a hourly or daily basis.

What do we look for?

Because we provide full training and development, we don’t require any previous experience. What were are looking for is people who have a commercial and positive mindset, have good communication and interpersonal skills, people who genuinely want to learn and can take feedback, and people who can relocate to Prague for the initial stages of our training programme.

While some roles at NonStop will require a level of experience, others have no barriers to entry. All we really look for is people with a positive mind set, a can do attitude, a willingness to learn and ability to take feedback. We like people who don’t just want a 9 to 5 job but people who genuinely want achieve something in their career.

Selection process

Whether you have applied to one of our advertisements, registered your interest on our website, or uploaded your details to a job board our consultants look at, your first contact with NonStop will usually be through a phone interview with a Talent Acquisition Specialist. Then, you could be invested to one of our assessment days, which are run every week in both London and Prague. Don’t worry if you have to travel to these cities, we will make a contribution to your costs, if not cover them completely. The assessment day will be like a mini recruitment training day, and is designed so you can get a good understanding of what a career in recruitment will entail while also giving you a chance to experience NonStop and see whether the company and the career is right for you. But remember, it is an assessment day and our people will be looking to see if you are right for NonStop, so remember the key traits we are looking for, most importantly a positive mind set. Following the assessment day, our people will discuss all candidates and see where they could fit into the business. If you are successful, you will then be offered a job.
